However, chronic stress can have negative effects on both physical and mental health, particularly on sleep.<\/p><p>Sleep is essential for health and well-being. It is the time when the body rests and regenerates, and when the mind relaxes and prepares for the next day. Stress can disrupt this vital process by causing insomnia, restless sleep, or daytime fatigue.<\/p><p>Chronic stress can also affect the circadian rhythms that regulate sleep and wake cycles. By disrupting these rhythms, stress interferes with the secretion of melatonin, the sleep hormone, making it harder to fall asleep.<\/p><p>Additionally, stress can lead to nightmares and night terrors, further disrupting sleep and making rest less restorative.<\/p><p>If stress and its effects on sleep are a problem for you, there are solutions. Here are some tips to better manage stress and improve sleep:<\/p><ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>Practice Relaxation<\/strong> \u2013 Relaxation can help reduce stress and improve sleep.
